PROJECT OVERVIEW

A walking and cycling route connects Twickenham station with Moormead Park beside the River Crane. Delivered as part of Solum Regeneration’s station project, with Osborne as principal contractor and Kingston Landscape Group undertaking the landscaping, the route follows a wooded corridor with changing curves and levels.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Create a stable, permeable path between the railway and river while keeping disturbance to existing tree roots to a minimum.

THE SOLUTION

Approximately 1,200m² of CORE TRP was used with CORE COMMERCIAL gravel stabilisation overlaid above. The cellular root-protection layer distributes loads, while the upper grid retains the gravel surface.

The combination creates a defined route through the trees, with installation photographs showing the build-up beneath the finished gravel path.
