My role at CORE LP has evolved over the last couple of years… from wearing the many hats of a small business leader to now ensuring those hats are worn by the right people. Our growth in the industry means my time is now spent working on the business rather than in the business with my main focus being to efficiently manage our growth and continuing to build on the fantastic team we have today.

Whilst we all have our own strengths and individual characteristics, one thing we share as a team is our positive ‘Can-Do’ attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes!

Outside the office you’ll either find me on the golf course; in the gym; or at home being Dad to 2-year-old Albert… the most spoilt English Bulldog to ever exist!

As Sales Director at CORE LP, my role is to develop the Sales and Marketing teams. I aim to motivate, inspire, and drive forward…  helping everyone to reach their targets and assisting with setting new goals.

I officially joined the business in 2014, however I was always darting in and out of the office throughout my school years… I was keen to learn the ropes and always passionate about Sales!

Outside of the office, I like to socialise with friends and get myself down the gym. Typical!

I love my job, and I love the people I get to work with day in day out… we have a fantastic team at CORE, and one which is growing rapidly. I look forward to welcoming many new faces to the team as time goes on!

My role requires me to wear many hats, primarily Customer Services, Accounts, Transport etc and to also keep the boys in check! I am peoples “go to” person when something needs doing or something has gone wrong, which invariably happens. My passion is Northern Soul music and dancing. I enjoy socialising with friends and family. I am generally described as being worth my weight in gold, because I will always do what I can to help, whether it be in the work place or my social circle.

I have always worked in sales & marketing – specialising in the B2B side of the horticultural industry and particularly love the buzz around all the shows, from the industry trade shows and events to the pinnacle of the year – RHS Chelsea. As a keen networker I have built up an in depth address book of contacts, so If I cannot help you with something I always know someone who can. Having spent nearly 7 years starting up and developing the successful trade division at Harrod Horticultural, I have moved on to the new challenges here at CORE LP. Luckily I mostly work from home up in Suffolk – and when not working, I can often be found tinkering under the bonnet of my 30 year old Renault 4, walking the dogs on the beach at Southwold or rummaging around at local auction houses.

I left Suffolk College and pursued a career in sports & recreation where I reached the position of Special Activities Director for the Ministry of Defence. Throughout my sports career I was always a passionate music lover and sure enough I followed my dreams and became a full-time nightclub DJ leaving sports behind, which then led onto becoming a Radio Presenter. Deciding that six nights a week was not good for your sleep patterns, or your liver – it hit me that sales may be a good career,  so I tried my luck selling windows and doors, chewing gum, hypnotherapy treatment – all sorts! Then I stumbled into the landscaping industry and found my niche selling turf, then wildflowers, then Sedum Green Roofing, Then Topsoil….. you get the idea.

I still rock the DJ decks part time and I am in an industry which I love full time with a fantastic driven company.

Outside of work I am a devoted family man with an amazing family which I love. I love snowboarding and try to sneak off on my board whenever possible.

I joined CORE after graduating from Cardiff University and oversaw our marketing efforts. I have a keen eye for detail and am passionate about marketing stategies and how to implement them effectively. In my spare time, I enjoy having a beer with friends, watching Formula 1 – and often found trying to cope with being a Man United fan.

My role at the company is sales associate and office motivator! I joined at the start of 2020 and was excited to be able to broaden my knowledge in landscape products and design. I enjoy working with the office team, the banter is high and the work ethic is strong – giving a great balance. When I am not in the office I try to get a small white ball in a 4 ¼ inch hole….. I play golf.

I am highly competitive which I get from being a professional Golfer which allows me to travel the globe and see amazing places.

I love playing and watching football with my choice of team being the mighty Chelsea.

Whilst working here at CORE LP, my product knowledge and clientele list is something I am personally very proud of. This is my first sales role, however I believe this is where I will flourish career wise. Before working at CORE, I was a commissioning engineer so I am familiar with the commercial side of trade projects. In my spare time I enjoy socialising down the local watering hole and cheering on the mighty Arsenal FC.

I brought warehouse experience with me when I joined CORE. I’m an organised individual and like our warehouses to be kept tidy! My passions are fishing, ancient architecture and cheering on West Brom!

Albert Keates

Our resident entertainer who is often found asleep on the job, barking at the postman or eating whatever he can get a hold of.

Have enjoyed delivering products across the Southern region here at CORE LP. My passions are tinkering around my garage and fixing cars – with a particular fondness of Land Rover Discoveries.

I’ve been working at CORE since January 2020 and enjoy the pressure of working at speed within the warehouse, handling and ensuring all the orders are sent out on time and correctly. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the pub with mates, following the mighty Spurs and and taking part in the local snooker tournaments.
