PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Grange is a development of six homes in a tree-lined setting in North East England. Gannon Developments used CORE TRP beneath the access road to accommodate vehicles while limiting disturbance around existing tree roots.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Provide access for residents and service vehicles, distribute traffic loads and retain drainage through the road construction around trees.

THE SOLUTION

The project used 850m² of CORE TRP with a 200mm cellular layer. Filled with aggregate, the cells distribute loads to reduce concentrated pressure on the ground below.

A porous asphalt surface completes the road. The project photographs show both the finished access and the cellular system during construction.
