PROJECT OVERVIEW

Aston Villa’s Academy redevelopment at Bodymoor Heath needed access works around retained trees. CORE supplied 1,200m² of CORE TRP through Keyline for O’Brien Contractors’ wider training-ground improvements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The access build-up needed to distribute vehicle loads and limit excavation around retained trees, while supporting drainage through the root zone on an active sports site.

THE SOLUTION

The cellular layer sits above existing ground and confines free-draining aggregate. This helps distribute vehicle loads across a wider area while limiting excavation around the trees. It provides a supporting layer for the finished access surface within the coordinated pavement build-up.
