PROJECT OVERVIEW

New paths are part of Blakedown Landscapes’ improvements to Barnard Park for Islington Council. The routes pass close to established trees, where the supporting build-up needed to limit pressure on the rooting ground.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Create new routes close to existing trees, protect their rooting environment and provide a stable foundation for the park’s paths.

THE SOLUTION

CORE supplied 760m² of CORE TRP. The expanded cells follow the paths and junctions and hold the stone-filled foundation in place. Once filled, the cellular layer helps spread surface loads across a wider area.

A further 110 linear metres of 100mm CORE PRO EDGE supported the landscape works. The project photographs show the route before surfacing and the cellular layer beneath the finished paths.
