12V low-voltage fitting: this light runs on the Lightpro 12V system and must be powered by a Lightpro 12V transformer via Lightpro cable and connectors. It cannot be wired directly to mains power. The Lightpro transformer plugs into a standard outdoor socket and steps mains power down to a safe 12 volts, so there’s no electrician needed and the cable doesn’t need to be buried.
Warranty – complete Lightpro system required: Lightpro’s 6-year manufacturer’s warranty only applies when this product is installed as part of a complete Lightpro 12V system, meaning Lightpro fittings, a Lightpro transformer, Lightpro cable and Lightpro connectors used together. Connecting it to another brand’s transformer, cable or connectors voids the warranty. It must be installed as the product manual describes, the included light source is excluded, and proof of purchase is required.
Make it a complete system with a Lightpro Power Pack
No Lightpro transformer and cable yet? Add a Lightpro 12V Power Pack (transformer, cable and connectors) and your lights qualify for the 6-year warranty as a complete Lightpro system.
With these lights about 3 m apart: Small (100 W, 25 m) runs up to 7, Medium (100 W, 50 m) up to 14, Large (150 W, 100 m) up to 30. Mixing lights? Go by your cable route and total watts – each Power Pack page explains how.
The Deco 40 Smart is the mid-size sphere in the Deco range at 400mm across, large enough to read as a feature on a terrace or in a wide border and still easy to move around. A Zigbee light source inside puts colour and brightness in the Lightpro app, which is useful on gardens where the owner wants to change the mood without touching the fittings.
It comes with a ground spike for planted beds and a flat foot for hard surfaces, so it can be swapped between the two. The smart MR16 Zigbee lamp is replaceable. Rated IP44 with a 1.5 metre tail and F-connector, and brightness is set in the app rather than on the unit. Control is through the Lightpro app over Zigbee; ask us whether the Lightpro Gateway (219A, sold separately) is needed for your installation.
