CORE Deck - Low maintenance Wood Composite Decking

Decking-area-1Our composite decking and joists are made from a combination of 100% FSC® certified timber by-products and recycled high density polyethylene. (60% recycled wood fibres and 40% recycled plastic)

By combining the natural look and feel of timber with the strength and durability of plastic, we have created a solution to traditional decking’s biggest problems. This makes great use of post-consumer waste, and helps to conserve the earth’s precious natural resources… in effect it is Plastic Wood Decking.

“EASY TO INSTALL AND EVEN EASIER TO MAINTAIN”

Available as a reversible deck board in a choice of 3 colours; Mahogany, Light Oak and Grey. During the manufacturing process, a high quality UV stabiliser is added, in order to counteract premature colour fade.

Our unique angled deck board creates the perfect stair nosing or seamless deck edging. A range of WPC decking joists and adjustable podium legs are also available – meaning the whole installation will stand the test of time.

These WPC Decking products will not warp, rot or splinter like wood, and requires no more than periodic cleaning using a mild detergent. Available in 2.2m lengths for cost effective delivery

Our high quality stainless steel fixings will not rust, the concealed fixing system means no screws are visible providing a modern contemporary finish

Not only perfect for traditional decking installations, this plastic decking is also a great surface around swimming pools; roof gardens; balconies and terraces.

FIXINGS

ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT LEG

SUB FRAME

COREdeckEnsure the sub frame is level whether using adjustable feet or laying directly onto a concrete base. The Joists should be no more than 300mm apart.

SUB FRAME

Composite DeckingMake sure the joists are no more than 300mm apart from centre to centre, or 250mm if using a 45 ̊ laying pattern.

PRE-DRILLING

CORE DeckingAlways pre-drill WPC products to approximately 75% to reduce the risk of damaging the product when fixing.

INSTALLING THE BOARDS

Decking-newMake sure a stainless steel concealed fixing clip is used on every joist, Meaning there will be at least 1 fixing clip every 300mm along the board. We also advise to add an extra clip where two boards meet end to end. This will help keep the boards secure and level

OVER-HANG

CORE DeckingMake sure the boards do not over hang the joist more than 40mm.

EXPANSION GAP

Decking-new-2Always leave a small expansion gap between two boards and adjoining surfaces to prevent creating pressure.

Each adjoining board can be supported by its own joist Or you can aim to have the boards meeting in the middle of a joist, either way, a concealed fixing clip should be installed where the two boards meet to assist in keeping the boards flush with one another.

CUTTING

Cutting Composite DeckingAlways cut the board face up with a ne toothed blade to prevent furring the face edge of the board.
